Learning how to c**** software

I don’t know any legality on this topic, and from what I’ve read so far within the hacking community, writing this sentence is way beyond what I should be saying already.

I’m currently learning to decompile and decided to experiment on a piece of software I use regularly, which I did buy. The only thing I’ll say is I found a string in Base64, so I decoded it. The result was a binary plist. I noticed a plain ASCII string which looked like the format of the serial key (which I determined from another subroutine), and when used resulted in this message:

When I first found the key I thought no way they were this dumb. They weren’t. Don’t pirate software.

Also c**** is ‘crack’.
